We stayed at powderhound condos over the holiday and found them to be great. They are located close to a bar/restaurant called hostel Tevere which consists of friendly people, affordable local pints, and good breakfast/food. Sugarbush resort is a short 5 minute drive up the road. The condos are smaller but suit the needs for those coming to VT for... More

Several of our family members drove hundreds of miles for a weekend in Vermont. We chose the Powderhound based on our ability to bring our dog. We spoke to one of the owners (?) who was very gracious and helpful. The booking process was confusing. None of us were ever sure just who we were dealing with. The morning of... More

We went in the summer and stayed at condo #17 and LOVED it. Powderhound as a whole was nice and quiet. Really close to a lot of hiking trails, great restaurants, short drive to cities. It was a great, great place to get away, and just enjoy yourself and family. (For those who have a hard time being cut off... More

Do not stay at the powderhound condos. We had stuff stolen, with value in excess of $4000, from the condo and from the storage closet. The people living in the other condos are sketchy, as in entering condos without permision, and speaking with people in warren they say that a very large drug dealer lives near this place. It is... My wife and I just returned from a trip to Sugarbush ski resort and booked a condo at the Powderhound, Unit 17 to be exact. We have traveled to Vermont to ski more then a couple of times and were very pleasantly surprised by this condo. First it was immaculate and up to date. We read the reviews before going... More

All the condos are privately owned and some are clearly nicer than others. I stayed at one owned by Hostel Tevere. I checked in at the hostel, Sarah and Giles the owners were very helpful. The condo was clean and the queen bed is very very comfortable. It is only 3 miles from sugarbush so the location is perfect. The... More

What a pit. This place was terrible. No housekeeping not even emptying the trash and the room was dirty and gross. The room had no charm at all. It was furnished with cheap furniture like a dorm room. I guess they stay in business because they are near great skiing and they get enough saps like us who stay her... More

We stayed in Unit 17 and it was very small but cozy enough for 2 people. It had a small bedroom with a queen bed, a small kitchennette with bare necessities, living room with TV, DVD player, and futon, and bathroom with shower stall. Even though it could have slept 4 people, like I said it was pretty cozy with... More

I didn't read the previous reviews prior to making a reservation, but I'm happy to say that we had an almost entirely pleasant experience here. We stayed in Unit #48 which is in one of the newer buildings and I think that made all of the difference. It was rated "3 diamonds" by the owners as opposed to "2 diamonds".... More

Went sking at Mad River Glenand Bromely Dec 2005, and couldn't get get a room at the Inn at Mad River Glen. We had a reasonable spacious two room condo. However, nothing in the condo worked well and it smelled like there was a dead animal rotting in the walls. We are outdoor people, and don't need luxurious accommodations, but... More
