This was our first trip to Vermont to see the fall leaves. We found the Inn and the owners to be quite nice. Janis and Parker are very friendly and offered suggestions of where to go and where to eat. The breakfasts were delicious!! We would stay here again and would recommend the Inn to our friends.

My husband and I stayed at the Butternut Inn on and off for a year while our home was being built. We found a warm welcome each time we arrived and felt very comfortable roaming around the 7 common rooms and the 11 acres on the river. We returned many times simply because it became our home away from home.

We were there for the fall color, never a dissapointment, last year. Stayed at the Butternut. Great breakfast, Very friendly inn owners. Came back this summer for a little R&R. We love this place.

At first the Inn looked inviting. The rooms are quite worn and the housekeeping has a lot to be desired. Our room was not that clean. The food was fair.
