My husband, my dog, and I stayed at the Governor's Rock Motel one night in August. We were on our way from northern Vermont to our home in PA. The motel was very clean and comfortable. There was a refrigerator, microwave, and coffee maker in the room. There is a nice TV and the furnishings were nice. The outdoor areas... More

We were just passing through on our way to a wedding in Burlington. Since it was the Friday of Labor Day weekend, other places in Bennington required a two night minimum. They did not. This motel and the rooms are dated, but I'll take clean and comfortable over slick, modern, and otherwise flawed any day! There may be more glamorous... More

Quiet, serene, cozy, and comfy with a friendly owner. The bathroom is small but very tastefully decorated. The location is a bit far from anywhere but tolerable. We will definitely come to stay again. More

Yup. 5 stars. Not because they're a 5-star place. Because they are most definitely not. But they give you much more than you should expect for the price. I was very surprised and happy with the room. I have stayed at a number of cheap places up in VT, and most made me think you get what you pay for.... More

Loved my room - it was more like a cozy studio apartment - nice queen size bed, plus a big comfy easy chair and big rocking chair. Bathroom very clean with nice hot water. Did not use the coffeemaker but fridge was twice the size of a "college cube" zand kept everything good and cold. Room nicely decorated with lovely... More

Went there for the fall colors and Vermont is so beautiful, didnt want to come back. This place is located in a small village that is so wonderful. It is a small motel with nice rooms, the rooms are more like B&B rooms I would definitely recommend this place :) More

I had a wide choice of rooms and booked three for family members attending a local wedding. The rooms and the service were first class, and everybody was pleased. This motel is really cute, and some rooms had an outside patio with table and chairs, which our family really enjoyed. The motel also had wireless internet that worked very well... More

Staying at this place is almost like staying at a B&B, except you're staying at a hotel, and breakfast is just homemade cakes instead of a whole meal. That is, it's very personable. The owner is very nice, talkative, and interested in you enjoying your stay. She seems willing to do just about anything you ask her, and sometimes she... More
