We hosted our daughter's wedding at Allerin this past weekend. From Start to finish Christy and Gary have assisted us in putting on an amazing and very fun/carefree wedding. They are very experienced wedding venue hosts (17 years) and have a wonderful staff. My daughter and her fiancé had a fair amount of decor and "moving parts" for this wedding - Christy quietly and efficiently helped us "make it all happen". We hired Christy for a "day-of-coordinator" - I would highly recommend this service. She was familiar with all the vendors and we had no questions or issues. We had 29 people staying on-site for the weekend - what a relief as we did have a great time partying and dancing! Everyone loved the breakfasts and enjoyed the beautiful property. We had @150 wedding guests. Thank you to Christy and Gary and their staff. If you are looking for a beautiful and reasonable wedding venue - Saint Johnsbury is very accessible in Vermont.…

We are sad to report that our experience with the Alerin Barn has been a very bad one. Our planned July 2020 wedding was cancelled due to the Covid pandemic and the state restrictions on large gatherings. Christy's initial response was that she would be keeping every penny of the thousands of dollars we had paid her. After well over a year of unpleasant back and forth we have only managed to receive a partial refund. Our main gripe has been that Christy's correspondence from the start has lacked empathy and professionalism. It appears that her only concern was keeping as much of our money as she could. If you're looking for a kind and caring vendor that puts the couple's experience at the forefront of their concerns, we suggest looking elsewhere.

My niece chose the Alerin Barn for her wedding. It was a magnificent wedding, the ceremony at the top of the hill with a view of mountains and party in the barn. The venue is also a B&B and we stayed there for two nights. It is beautiful and peaceful with very clean air. There are multiple rooms in the farmhouse and ours had a comfy bed, lots of quilts and framed art and books from nearby Dog Mountain. And a bathroom and a small kitchen. There’s a huge wraparound porch with comfy seats; we spent afternoon reading and relaxing. There are cows and sheep. Some small lakes and beautiful walking trails. It felt really good being there. Breakfast was really really good. And the hospitality was amazing. Christy and her husband run a wonderful operation and are fantastic hosts.

I was at the Alerin Barn B&B this past weekend for a wedding. The venue is absolutely beautiful and Christie(spelling?) and Gary are the best hosts. Breakfast each morning was delicious. The property is beautiful and also has chickens and sheep and their three dogs. Though I stayed in the Bunk House, I explored the Farm House and the rooms are so quaint. The decor through out the entire property is down to the littlest details which makes this place absolutely beautiful. The wedding was on top of a hillside, and Gary has a tractor/wagon to drive the guests up to the hill. There are outdoor heat lamps to stay warm near the bar and the bonfire location is next to the lake. There is no wifi and cell service is spotty so it is the perfect spot to disconnect and relax with family and friends.…

Wow! This place was one of the most beautiful wedding events for a small party I have ever attended. Beautiful grounds and gorgeous post and beam barns and shade structures. The pond and fire pit with small white lights everywhere on decorative birch trees made it a storybook scene. Pleasant staff and good food topped it off. If you are considering a small wedding in rural New England, this is it.

We attended a wedding at this location and it was absolutely beautiful!! Loved the little pond and the barn! The owners were super accommodating and friendly. Highly recommended and visit downtown St. J and Danville if you're in the area!

My brother had his wedding here. The entire extended family loved it! It was classic Vermont. The barn reception was beautiful in the evening. The campfire by the pond was a great place to kick back with a beer and s' mores. The breakfast was beautifully presented. The ceremony on a grassy hill overlooking the rolling green mountains was storybook. The pictures came out stunning between the release of butterflies and sunlight on the wildflower gardens. Very memorable event. I plan events for a living, but I was just a guest at this one. Every special detail was thought of by the hosts. Extraordinary venue!

Gorgeous location and amazing wedding venue. Family that runs it could not have been any nicer. Accommodations are cozy, like you are staying at a friend's place (not a lot of privacy) but were perfect for the wedding we attended. Loved the goats out front too. Definitely recommend!

Absolutely idyllic location for a wedding surrounded by all the best nature has to offer... A serene spring fed pond, gorgeous meadows, goats, cows, flowers -all against a forest back drop. Christy and her family have renovated a beautiful farmhouse and a fabulous two story barn with authenticity, yet with all amenities needed for a wedding party and reception. The rehearsal dinner was held underneath a large arbor overlooking the pond. The wedding I attended was for the marriage of a couple who are vegan and Christy and her sources were able to produce a vegan
