Middlebury VT is lacking mid priced accommodations so we were pleasantly surprised when we landed at the Greystone. It's old but very clean. Beds were comfortable but had plastic covers on the mattresses. Had the most TV stations that I ever had in a motel recently. Even gave you new tooth brushes. Not much for a breakfast but there is... Greystone has remodeled. The rooms are nice and clean. I think greystone is under new management. I have stayed at the greystone before, but I really enjoyed my most recent stay. I really liked how they gave complementary toiletries. It is a good price. I would definitely stay here again.

This motel was the absolute worst! Upon entering the room, it had an odor of stuffy, unopened grossness. In the morning, upon exiting the room around 9 am we were asked if we wanted our room cleaned and that it would have to be at that moment. After telling the staff that we did not want coffee to be made... More

Don't be scared off by negative reviews and a low rating -- this place is just fine if you're looking for clean and inexpensive. As expected, it was a typical side-of-the-road motel with no frills, but very clean and quiet. The air conditioning worked fine, the water pressure was decent, the bed was comfortable... and most important it was CLEAN.... More

We did one night at Greystone a few weeks ago. It was a weekend so it it was busy. A bit too much traffic in and out. The motel itself was quaint. Clean and well taken care of.The price was higher than it should be but then again there arent many hotels to choose from around Middlebury. If the price... More

We needed an inexpensive place to stay for a couple of nights in Middlebury last minute. The rates aren't a bargain, but they were the cheapest we could find in MIddlebury, where options are limited. The service is friendly, the room was clean and included a small fridge, although the walls are thin and there was only a shower... no... More

Relatively clean, but...: uncomfortable bed; hard, flat pillows; very small room; no closet; no iron; no hair dryer; no internet; out-dated decor; stained carpet. And no keycards-- they had traditional keys which felt very insecure to me. (Also, you couldn't lock the door from the inside in a way that couldn't be opened with the key.) All with a $81... More

OK. lets start out with the good stuff first. The room was relatively clean. The beds were comfortable. However, the room was terribly underlit. There were three lights, which couldn't have had any more than 40 watt bulbs. Don't plan on reading! The air conditioner was missing its knob and thus couldn't be adjusted. It was incredibly loud. The toilet... More

Stayed here: 6 july 2005 - 7 july 2005 It was getting late after hiking around in the great nature of Vermont when we arrived at Greystone. We already had gone by some other motels which were dirty or expensive. This one had a nice staff and large, clean and well equipped rooms. The lady did call to find out... More

I stayed at the Greystone Motel in Middlebury - it was a peak season so other hotels were very expensive. We happened upon the Greystone at 11pm - they got us a room for $60 (it would have been cheaper if I had my AAA card). The rooms were super clean with nice sheets and towels, cable TV and free...
