We ( 2 adults, teen-age son, 1 beagle, 1 mutt the size of a beagle)spent 8/23-25/2012 here. The rustic cabins are rustic but very quaint and clean. The woodburning stove keeps it plenty warm. The area is beautiful beyond description. The lake is great, fishing was good. We rented a row boat for awhile and that was fun. There was... More

My family just returned from Spirit Lake. The place is really beautiful and serene. And, I would go back -- but, I would camp rather than stay in the cabins. The website is horribly out of date -- so do not make your plans using the website as a guide. The "lodge" does not have a restaurant, and they charge... More

Our family of 5 spent 3 nights in Sitting Bull cabin, a quiet and cozy place. The 3 kids spent time away from all the modern day conveniences and said that they would love to go back next year, for a longer stay! We only had 1 long rain shower, but used the wood stove nightly to heat the place... More

We just spent the weekend at the Spirit Lake Resort and oh my, what a place. Beautiful, rustic, well kept and just overall charming. The best part of the place is probably Mona, the "innkeeper" as it were. She is charming and helpful and just adds to the overall ambience of the place. It rained the whole time we were... More

My family and I used to go to Spirit Lake Lodge every summer in August and it is now one of my favorite places. Lots of good memories! I recommend it to everyone I meet. Great fishing too.

First a little about the lake: Spirit Lake is BEAUTIFUL!!! We arrived a little before sunset and the reflection on the water of the sky and the trees was breathtaking! Now for Spirit Lake Lodge and Cabins: The lodge is nice and they sell little things like bug spray, cool pocket knives, and cards. There is a big wrap-around deck... More

Just got back from a wonderful weekend at Spirit Lake Lodge. This is our third stay at Spirit Lake, and it's becoming one of our favorite summer activities. The Lodge is beautiful and provides good food, considering they're working with limited resources (everything must be brought in daily, and they have no power at the lodge unless the generator is...
