My wife and visited the area for the solar eclispe, and decided to stay here for the location, and based on positive reviews. The room was clean, large and comfortable. The grounds contain large grassed areas with trees providing shade, picnic areas, fire pit and areas to stroll. A sancuary after a hot day in the desert. The lake on... More

Stayed here one night on our way on Scenic Byway 12 from Torrey to Bryce. Booked the huge 1 king room, upper floor, balcony overlooking a tranquil small lake and colorful mountains in the distance. Our room, at $185 plus tax, was clean, super comfortable bed, well furnished with rustic country furniture, high ceiling, microwave and refrigerator, a big TV.... More

We stayed here in the middle of a long road/camping trip and it was the perfect place to refresh and relax. The grounds are peaceful and beautiful, the rooms are clean and lovely, the views are spectacular and the restaurant is a must-visit. The staff were friendly and very helpful and they even hold an area info "happy hour" where... More

Very fun place to stay in an area filled with magnificent scenery and beautiful hikes. Easy access to Escalante Region and Capitol Reef. Loved waking up to the honking of wild geese. Saw a heron fly into their wildlife reserve/ pond on the first morning! The beautiful back porch near the pond was under construction, but almost finished and looked... More

We recently spent three nights at the lodge and very much enjoyed it. Our room was big wth a lovely view..even with 4 inches of snow! The hot tub was a welcome destination after a day of hiking. The 3 restaurants in town are within walking distance. We had a couple of problems with our room the staff did all... More

We had a nice stay here on the way in and out of a hiking trip with Escalante Canyon Outfitters. It was almost hard to notice the hotel given how much we enjoyed our hiking trip, but the hotel was in fact wonderful. The rooms are HUGE and very comfortable. The Hell's Backbone Grill is excellent.

We had an incredible, relaxing, comfortable stay here for our first anniversary weekend. Not only is the room decked out with comfortable amenities but it's in beautiful sleepy Boulder and attached to the delightful Hell's Backbone Grill.

We ended up stopping to ask about rooms after leaving a ghost town-like Escalante near dusk mid winter. Didn't want to drive on because of icy conditions in the dark. Instead of just a place to stay we found an oasis! We were given a ground floor unit with kitchenette that was spacious and well furnished. So nice to be... More
