We really enjoyed our visit to Salado and the excellent hospitality of Will and the staff at Inn on the Creek. When we arrived, Will provided us with a tour of the home and restaurants. The inn is located in a quiet area, and the staff is extremely helpful. Will is great and spends time with each guest to ensure that they have the very best time possible. Alexander's has really good food. There is an attentive staff to help you with selections, etc.

Pros: Good location, not too small/not too large, not too much frou-frou, great neighborhood for walking, both a formal and an informal restaurant on the property, rockers on the porches. Cons: 30-minute wait for check in because phone had not been forwarded, so-so breakfast with good-enough muffins but quite unripe fruit; dirty coffee cup was quickly replaced.

A great place stay - first time in Texas travelling from Dallas to San Antonio. Will was a friendly and fun host. Accommodation of the highest standard and a great breakfast. Good restaurant and good alternatives near by.
