On our 7th honeymoon celebration, my wife and I totally dug the house, its furnishings, location, ambiance, and history. The breakfast was surpassed only by our congenial hostess’s inspiring tales and wealth of area heritage info.

My girlfriends and I stay at this b&b every year. It is a great relaxing trip. We are in 7th grade and pay our own fee. The rooms are priced wonderfully! Some of the luxuries at the site: hidden hammock cove, benches by the water, wonderful breakfast, and awesome local restraunts! I would recommend Tran's, PMR, and Outrigger for dinner....

Edith was an excellent host and we thorughly enjoyed our visit. Our room on the second floor was spacious and had a great view of the bay. I did notice that there was no television either in the common area or the individual rooms -- however; for us, this was a plus. They do have wi-fi so this should compensate...

Edith, the Inn Keeper is a great host and the place is a 100 year old charming victorian that has been maintained pretty well. The bathrooms were excellent, and the house is kept very spic and span. Palacios is quiet, and the walks on the sea wall in the mornings and evenings was just great.
Edith's gourmet breakfasts are out...

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

Also the B&B is on the...

This old house is spotless, grand, elegant, and fun, with fabulous views of Matagorda Bay. Edith is wonderful with breakfasts and with wine at cocktail hour, and VERY accomodating. Too bad she doesn't do dinners!! I have stayed here several times, and now wouldn't stay anywhere else when I am in the area!! This B&B is the best.
If you are searching for a coastal destination away from the crowds, this is the perfect spot. The B&B is right on the water and all of the rooms and common areas have wonderful views. Edith, the owner, is a fine host. The town of Palacios may not have that much to offer, but it is a refreshing break from...

The Peaceful Pelican was a wonderful and comfortable inn for my recent business trip to Palacios. The hospitality was warm and breakfast with when I needed it was perfect. Edith even shared her recipes with me. The free wireless Internet and complete bathroom amenities made packing for my trip a little easier. If I had a few days in East...

Need to get away from the concrete jungle of Houston? This is it. Comfy bed, classy private bath, bay views, and a warm hostess. A different gourmet breakfast each morning and fine wine or lemonade in the afternoon. The atmosphere inspired me to compose a new Blues tune for my upcoming CD.
