The inn was built in 1520. It is on the main road but our room was on the back and had thick windows so no problem. The room was simple but fairly spacious, with no elevator but they helped with the luggage. Good shower. Just returned from our 2nd stay at the Goldener Engel. The place is very nice, the small town very charming, the staff very helpful and polite, the restaurant is excellent (we had diner/breakfast) and the rooms are very clean and nicely decorated/renovated. On top of everything, it's not expensive and is at an easy access from the autobahn.
