The pleasure that our friends and we, and our daughters, took in this wonderful establishment cannot be overstated. The rooms in this house, which was formerly a linen merchant's, have good views, overlooking either the canal or the garden. The beds are comfortable, the showers are powerful, and the rooms are clean and appointed with zest and grace. But the... More

A 2 night visit to St-Omer was enhanced with our stay at this Chambres d'Hotel conveniently situated opposite the railway station and about a 10 minute walk from the town centre. The room we had was a twin over looking the rear garden and was comfortable and quiet; the en-suite had a very good drenching shower and the beds medium... More

4 of us spent 3 nights here in April 2013. We had 2 rooms, one facing the canal, and one the garden. Both rooms were large, exquisitely decorated and had comfortable beds. The en-suites were modern and scrupulously clean. One room had fridge and microwave, and both had tea-making facilities, unusual in France. Veronique welcomed us very warmly, offered a... More

Don't be fooled by the slightly austere exterior of this old house, once home to a shop and offices. How lovely to find a traditional French house with such elegance at a very reasonable cost. Veronique the owner was very helpful (especially when we thought the port workers were about to go on strike for 2 days!). Beautiful room, very... More

We have just spent 3 nights being hosted by Veronique. From the beginning she was warm and hospitable. An email had been receiveda couple of days earlier confirming that we were still coming, probably because of the forecast weather. On arrival she greeted us and took us into the dining room where we were offered refreshement, tea/coffee/beer; she sat with... More

We spent an impromptu night in St Omer and found this wonderful B&B. Madame is very friendly and helpful. Our room was perfect (with a put-up bed for our teenage son on request). An extra heater for an extremely cold night was already in the room. Very comfortable big bed. Delicious breakfast with croissants, baguettes, fabulous home-made yoghurt, fruit etc.... More

Wanted to break up our journey the night before we took the Eurotunnel and didn't want to stay in Calais so found this gem on tripadvisor! What a find! We read the rave reviews and can only confirm that they are correct - beautiful large house opposite the canal. Extremely welcoming host and a stunning room (spacious, stylish) with a... More

We arrived at 20:00 after a long and arduous day travelling back from Italy and had booked this B&B after seeing the reviews on tripadvisor. We weren't disappointed. From the very first moment Veronique couldn't have been more helpful and extended a very warm welcome, mindful of our long day with an almost 3 year old in the car for... More

My wife and I fancied staying somewhere different to the Ibis (usually good) on this trip to St Omer so we chose this very good value Chambre d'hote run by the very friendly Veronique. It's in a lovely big former merchant's house right on the quayside of the river L'Aa about 5 mins walk from the town centre with free... More

We stayed as 2 couples for just one night in early December. It is very conveniently situated about 10 minutes walk from the centre of town. It was easy to find and the parking is simply accross the road by the canal. You can pay €3 to use the Hotel garage but we found this completely unnecessary. Our room was... More
