Good base to explore the Basque region and not too from Biarritz, San Jean de Luz and San Sabastien, all well worth a day trip. As you'll be doing a fair amount of driving it's good to have an on site restaurant and the two cafes in the village. The little houses were very clean and kids will enjoy it...
