It is an astoundingly beautiful and serene location. The little cabins are fully stocked, luxurious, and built with character. We thoroughly enjoyed our weekend stay- just my husband, myself, and our dog. It was relaxing and quiet. The owners were very accommodating and went out of their way to help us out. We had vehicle trouble, and we can't thank... More

The shaded Cypress trees that envelop this beautiful Texas property offer an overwhelming sense of tranquility. Within steps of the well maintained cabins is the Frio river which presents unending pleasure for all! My family and I have made this an annual retreat and Theresa and David, the proprietors, are openhearted and kind beyond expression. The kids and adults alike... More

This place getaway is absolutely, beautiful!!! My family and I just left there today. We stayed five nights, and enjoyed every second of our time here. We were sad when we left. Great place to bring your family, or if you and your loved one just want to get way alone. Our lives are so busy, so this time away... More

It is always a pleasure to see you and your family each year. When you started coming out the youngest was just a baby... now he is six! I enjoy watching and hearing your boys at the river. I can hear them squeal and giggle all the way to my house. Thank you for sharing your family with David and... More

My husband and I just got back from our little vacation at Cypress Frio Waters, and have to say that we highly recommend this place to anybody. This was our first time staying at the cabins, and we were very happy because they provided everything we needed; they are very clean and comfortable. The cabins are very close to the... More

Absolutely the nicest, uncrowded section of the Frio River available for families and couples to enjoy. The river offers crystal clear water, deep pools, tumbling rapids and a smooth, flat,rock-free section. The ranch is about 3 miles north of Leakey on US 83 but truly gives you the sense that you are miles away from the crowds on the Frio... More

Tired of the noise and hassles of the city? This is the place for you. Only a few hours drive and you are surrounded by the "noise" of birds, breeze blowing through the trees, and the sound of the Frio River gliding by. Just driving through the gate you will feel your blood pressure drop and the tension in your... More

Michele - Thank you so much for such a wonderful and I believe, accurate review. I am partial though. The Frio River is always spring feed cold and the country wildlife surroundings will make the stress melt away. Again, thank you for the kind words and we hope to see you soon! I have visited Cypress Frio Waters many times, and love it more with each visit. I initially found it because I wanted a long weekend away from the city, in the beautiful Texas Hill Country, with nature, peace, and also a few activities! There are so many wonderful perks of this spot: -quiet, peaceful surroundings -gorgeous stargazing at night, away... More

What a wonderful family experience Cypress Frio Waters was for my family. The cabins were beyond my expectations; cozy, comfortable and roomy. The grounds are absolutely a Texas treasure and the owners, David and Teresa made everyone feel like family. From the campfires to swimming in the chilly waters of the Frio, this experience will not disappoint. Thanks for making... More
