Our daughter was recently married and her new in-laws hosted an open house for the new couple in Yoakum, Texas. There are not many places to stay there. The Hotel Texas is just a few minutes down the road and it was a beautiful place to stay. Fairly new, very clean, friendly helpful staff, and a tastey breakfast. We will... More

Clean, smells great, looks great. Beautiful touches of Texas including carpet, wood furniture, wall coverings and many decorations. About $100 beats all others in area. Must stay, if even for a one-night retreat from the weekly craze. Not paid to say, just a great place for a great price and real down-home southern texas folk at the counter. Outdoor pool... More

This is a very clean hotel and perfect for a family. I stayed at this hotel back in April. My credit card was charged for an extra room I did not stay in. After about 6 weeks of going back and forth it is hopefully straightened out through the help of Demarcus. He was a very professional asset to this... More

The public areas have a decidedly western decor, very comfortable, and the breakfast buffet is quite adequate, with an attendant on hand to keep things tidy and warm up anything you bring in. Our room was OK, nothing special; the bathroom floor had been badly stained, which made it look dirty. Otherwise, not a bad place to stay. Unfortunately, the... More

Hallettsville is a beautiful, rural community in a wonderful part of Texas. To find a hotel in a town of only two and half thousand residents is somewhat impressive, but to find a hotel this size, this new, and this nice is a wonderful discovery indeed! Now, I can't argue hotel vs. motel, but I can say this establishment has... More

We stayed at Hotel Texas the night of April 16, 2011 while attending the Fiddler's Froliics. The hotel was conveniently located and we arrived before noon. The desk clerk was pleasant and since the room was ready, we were allowed to check in when we arrived. We found our king bed room as well as the bathroom clean and well... More

This hotel was a sweet surprise. It was clean and neat with an awesome decor. Plus all the staff we came in contact with was superb. Especially the cook because the breakfast is the BEST we had ever had at any hotel we have been at. You will not be disappointed. It has some great porches and a balcony to... More

Beautifully decorated, most charming staff, real southern hospitality, good hot breakfast included. If you stay here, go to the pool in the evening as it's all lit up with colored lights. I would definitely stay again!!!

My family & extended family spent over $1,500 in booking this hotel for a large in town wedding. We were rudely treated by the owners. We had to ask for different rooms because of poor housekeeping, broken A/C units, and were "watched" at the pool at night. My husband was accused of taking a glass container into the pool area... Thank you for your response, I have talked with the Manager about this incident and I am so sorry you were not satisfied. The Manager is trying to keep glass out out the pool area because of the obvious hazards that could occur with broken glass. They usually offer a paper cup or other container, and I'm truly sorry if... More

"It's Cricket Season" was the reply i got from the hotel manager when i explain to her that i did not sleep well because i had to keep killing crickets that were in my room all night. As my husband killed one cricket an hour later another one was in our room making noise and traveling around the room. When... More

We do apologize for the Cricket problem at the hotel. We have had our exterminator at the property several times a week, because of the wet summer there is an uncommon high population of crickets and beetles. We have also called a local glass company to make sure door sweeps are on all exterior doors and our maintenance people are... More
