I don't know what room some of these other people got, but I checked in late in the evening, then went to Padre Island to eat and messed around. We had a scheduled guided fishing trip the next morning at 5:30. We got back to our room around 10 or so. Room was so-so. Musty smelling mainly. Went to bed... More

Impressed with size of room . The room could sleep six adults comfortably. Their are so many places to relax outside under ancient oaks. The pool area, gazebo area, and a sreened porch that will hold 50. A full laundry facility and a lobby with a small library. Staff was great(enjoyed their jobs) and accomidated any changes. When told shower... More

I will not be staying at this place again. For the cost it was terrible. My room was not ready until almost 5pm. The AC did not work. Will not be staying here again. Very disappointed in this Econo Lodge.

This hotel is a great value for the money. It is an older facility which is very clean and has been kept up nicely including the fresh neat landscaping. The rooms are large and include refrigerator and microwave with a comfortable bed and soft pillows. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. They serve a full hot breakfast in a large... More

The rooms were dirty,no hot water, coffe pot dirty, sheets had stains. Was supposed to stay two nights, but moved after first night. Much better places to stay for same cost. Will never stay here again!

clean rooms, very pleasant and helpful staff. I do wish they would serve breakfast till 10am though, we stayed 2 nights and just never made it to the breakfast room by 9am. I am getting used to paying extra for our dog, but I think it is wrong.

We had a one-night stay in room with two queen size beds. Ground level room with outside entry was clean, with the usual amenities. It DID have electronic lock (wave the card in front of the sensor). There are several buildings in this complex. We were on the south side. We had a little noise from loud TV or radio... More

Had a 3 day stay at the econo lodge. It was a great deal, you can't beat $59 a night (an extra $10 for our dog) but still well worth it. We found the motel to be very clean and they served a hot breakfast every morning, not just the cold bagels and here's a toast if you want to... More

Unaware that there was the hummingbird thingy going on, we tried a few other local places with no luck or results. Pulled into the Econolodge and was pleasantly surprised at the rates, the availability and the excellent service that we got. We stayed for 3 nights, and ALL the staff was excellent and friendly. The GM Kurt was extremely professional,... More

The Econolodge internet booking was out of wack. It said there were no rooms available from 8/23/2012 thru 8/25/2012, so at my wife's behest i phoned the Motel directly and lo and behold they had rooms available, I trust that the problem has been resolved as the Motel could lose business.
