We booked our stay at the Best Western based on mostly on reviews where people commented that "it was the best place to stay in Bastrop". While our stay was completely fine, if it's the best hotel in town, there's not much to be said for the hotels in Bastrop. This hotel was an average traveler's hotel. The room was... More

This facility is part of the Hunters Crossing shopping area, and not easily visible from Hwy290. From 290 going East get off at Hunters crossing, going west exit one earlier, and there is a road behind Hunters Crossing. Romm was equipped with two chairs and table, plus a solid desk with office chair. Flat screen, microwave, fridge. Windows that do... More

I booked this room through priceline at a reasonable price (~$58 including taxes and fees). The amenities listed on priceline for this hotel include both a king bed and 2 Queen beds. It is understood that your room type is not guaranteed through priceline, but I have never had a problem getting a double-double or double-queen in over a dozen... More

First, the good things: The rooms were very nice, with comfortable beds, microwaves, and larger-than-average in-room refrigerators. It was pretty quiet, and the doors had some kind of mechanism that made them close very slowly, which keeps them from slamming, but the lock is still pretty loud. I guess that's progress, though. The breakfast was very nice: coffee, juice, cereal,... More

I had to stay in Bastrop for a family event. Booked for $53 on priceline. I didn't expect much, boy, I was surprised!! New looking property, I was very surprised it is a few years old. A couple of restaurants within walking distance. I dealt with the evening shift staff, they were very nice and helpful. I was surprised to... More

The first impression upon driving up to the Best Western Pines Inn is of a new hotel. The hotel was built in Sept. of 2009 but the newness stops there. The bad experience started out with the appearance and lack of enthusiasm of the front desk. I did not find one single person working there who smiled even after my... More

Booked a double room. When we checked in the lady "Jessica" at the front said only a king one bed was available for 3 adults and 1 child. I then asked if they had a roll away bed Jessica replied "no" I then went online and guess what there website had a double bed available for that night. I brought... More

We appreciate honest reviews. Thank you for metioning how nice the Best Western Bastrop is. What you did not metion is that you made a reservation through an online 3rd party reservation site for 1 king bed (one adult) and upon arriving you showed up with (3 adults and 1 child) and you wanted a room with 2 queen beds.... Needed a place to stay for the night. Found the Hotel through a budget site. Hotel is newer. Very clean. I was surprised by the room. Large, High ceilings, granite bath. New furniture, flat screen, high speed and great comfortable beds. When in the room, I would have though it to be a near luxury hotel. I travel the country... More

Kind of hidden entrance, but when you do get there, it is a typical Best Western. Well maintained property and the check in staff are very nice. Rooms are clean and nicely decorated. Beds are a little hard, but the pillow top helps that. Didn't even turn the television on this trip. I needed a DVD player. Wi-fi worked fine... More
