Very comfortable bed, clean room with nice bath. Keurig coffee machines in the room, nice rockers on the front porch of our little cabin. The only thing that could be improved upon was the breakfast. The quiche was cold, and the bacon could have been cooked more. Also, a little more variety would have been nice. The staff was friendly,... More

Nice place but we got no maid service until almost 6 at night, had hardly any hit water, enough to fill the tub about 5 inches deep and the tub stopper would not work. The good was a yummy breakfast and the character of the place.

The DBL is, as a friend of mine says, "like finding a diamond in a goat's ear." I mean no offense to the fine folks of Townsend, TN, but the DBL is an unexpected gem of a hotel. The atmosphere of the operation might be called "refined rustic." The owner went to considerable trouble to furnish the DBL, lobby, rooms,... More

We stayed here for an overnight getaway and I could not be happier with our accommodations, service, and the dining. Check-in was a smooth process, we were early and had to wait until 3:00 PM to check in since the hotel was at capacity the night before. This wasn't a problem since we decided to drive to Cades Cove and... More

We stayed in one of the cabins while attending a wedding at a nearby resort. The accommodations were shabby, and the hotel staff was very hard to track down (we arrived around midnight and there were no employees on duty). Our friends stayed in the lodge and had a much better experience. I wouldn't turn anyone away, but I certainly... More

We stayed here for a rehersal dinner and we were quite impressed. We had the Lodge which had the upstairs bedroom which was amazing and comfortable. Her mom and sister slept in the downstairs bathroom with the jacuzzi. Having the full kitchen plus the fireplace and seating area made downstair space feel big and open. We used the hot tub... More

Absolutely wonderful place, we stayed in the Leconte cabin. It was the VIP cabin and perfect for our anniversary. We ate at the restaurant for dinner and breakfast. The food was great. We would definitely go back.

My BF and I had dined at the Dancing Bear Lodge previously and decided to book a two-night, weekend stay to celebrate my birthday. The only lodging available was the 2 Bedroom Cabins for $210 per night. Having been inside the Lodge for dinner last Spring, we assumed all structures on the property were of similar age/standards. Immediately upon check-in,... More

My husband and I stayed at Dancing Bear lodge in a 2 bedroom cabin which we shared with his parents. Pros: 1. Beds are superbly comfortable and well appointed 2. Large back porch 3. Great location 4. Good dinner choices 5. Quiet and private Cons: 1. Service was a 5 out of 10. The staff were freinedly, but did not... More

Dear Claire H, Thank you for your post and both positive and constructive feedback. Our two bedroom cabins are best suited for a family with children rather than four adults. We suggest couples traveling together stay in their own lodge rooms or one bedroom cabins. With that said, in reading your comments, it sounds as if our team did not... More
