Not only was this the PERFECT location for the St. Jude Country Music Half Marathon, everyone was extremely friendly and hospitable (even with construction going on in the hotel)!

Marriott Vanderbilt caters nicely to business folks. Helpful, friendly staff, decent gym, pool, concierge level service. No complaints. There's some construction in the lobby now, but I am guessing short term. You can face Vanderbilt's stadium or the parthenon in the park. I prefer the later. Nothing special, but perfectly fine for a short stay.

We were extremely pleased with our stay at Marriott at Vanderbilt. The entire staff is extremely helpful, especially the front desk. Our room ovelooked Centennial Park and the Parthenon. The shuttle is a great service for getting around short distances. We highly recommend this hotel.

The hotel is outside the center of Nashville but hotel provides Shuttle. It is across from a great park. The staff were really nice but hotel was undergoing renovations so bar and restaurant were old function rooms and looked like not decorated since 80's.
