I've been there and i think it is a good place to sleep at. The electric blankets was a good idea because when it is cold i like been snuggled up. An there is a close pub to eat at not far at the front.

Slightly bizarre "modernistic" structure- comfortable bed. Facilities generally OK, with crockery sufficient for a breakfast. Milk was provided but only a few tiny sachets.
A 20 min drive to the penguins suited us- this motel was the only one we could find that didn't want a 2 night booking. No on-site internet was a downside, as we had hoped to...

Thank you very much for your review. We are currently working on having wi-fi internet on site and plan to have this available shortly. Your feedback about the quantity of milk available was very helpful and we have now increased the amount of milk available in the rooms. So glad that you enjoyed your visit to the penguins and the...

From the outside the units look a bit like a toilet block & are at the back of the pub beside the bottle shop. However we were pleasantly surprised.
We could back right to the door to load & unload the car. Very convenient.
The room was huge, the bed comfortable, and there was a microwave, toaster, plates, cutlery etc....

This is a great economical choice for anyone wanting to explore this lovely natural location. $120 a night in peak season for 3 people represents great value for us. Some rooms have been recently refurbished with new carpet, new bedding and furniture (and all rooms will be eventually refurbished according to staff). The bistro might appear to have Melbournesque pricing,...

We chose to stay at the San Remo Hotel/Motel because it was more economical than any of the other accommodation options we could find (online) on Phillip Island. The motel units are out the back and we were in Unit 13, which turned out to be reasonably roomy and quiet. The main room has been refurbished but not the bathroom,...

Stay recently at this place had a lovely time, the staff were really friendly. Couldn't get over the size of the motel rooms-they were very large. Enjoyed alfresco dining with a great view of the water and the flake was delicious very fresh and the serve was ample. Would stay again, thanks.
Looking forward a good pub meal in San Remo so we tried this hotel over the Queen's Birthday long-weekend. We were a group of 12 co-workers and all but 2 ordered something different. We were all pleased with the meals, good serves & friendly service, all in all good pub food. What all of us were not so pleased about...

Whilst the motel attached to the hotel has a 2.5 stars rating it is well under-rated. It is roomy, the beds are very comfortable and it is ideally situated for short trips to see the features of Phillip Island - Penguin Parade, Koala Sactuary, Churchill Island GP Track. chocolate factory and ocean beaches. It was clean and comfortable. The hotel...
