We ALWAYS stay here when in the Omeo area - clean, friendly service. The brekkie is a fantastic bonus - I hope that never changes - it really tops your stay, & makes it different to everywhere else. The verandah is a nice place to relax & watch the world go by in the afternoon. Overall, an oldie, but a... More

We stayed at the Golden Age recently and were very happy with the accommodation. The rooms are clean and comfortable. We had both dinner and breakfast - both were really good and the lovely lady serving breakfast was an asset to the hotel.

Easily the best room; stayed here 3 times now? Food is pretty good, with good wines at great prices

The moment you approach the Golden Age you know you are going to stay somewhere different. We booked a balcony double and were not disapointed, there was plenty of room and the overall standard was good and clean. The rooms are dated but fit with the overall feeling and apperance of the hotel We had dinner and breakfast, both meals... More

We had a big room on the first floor. The bathroom was modern, the bed comfortable and the decking around the first floor is beautiful. The pub was friendly and in the centre of town.

We stayed here twice during the month of August - once as a couple, & once with the kids. We used it as a base for a trip to the snow (Mt Hotham). Perfect for our purpose... Clean & tidy rooms, great brekkie included in price. Hotel is old & in need of a little TLC, but full of character,... More

I stayed in a room on the ground floor, door opened out onto the footpath almost with road close by. Midweek is pretty quiet in this little town, but I think the downstairs rooms would be noisy on weekends. Room was clean, warm and shower hot, TV worked and the beds had electric blankets. The bar stools were too low... More

Stayed here for 1 night, first floor room was very large compared to regular motel size rooms. Entry to room was from a large covered balcony which had good views of main street, town and surrounding hills. Large off street parking allows easy access to rooms. My room was directly above the bar which meant music and general bar noise... More
