There was a group of 14 people this Sunday that went for lunch "Sunday 9th June,2013" and had a set menu, the main was lamb no taste, very fatty, looked as if it was steamed not oven cooked, waited over hour and half and when it came they served 4 small dishes for 14 people and three small serving of... After meandering through the Yarra Valley and visiting Healesville Sanctuary we had a wander along the high street just as the shops were closing. We saw this Hotel and thought we would pop in for a drink and ended up staying for a meal in the bar. I had a look around the hotel, it is beautifully decorated, lovely old... More

The staff here are 'chilled' according to a previous reviewer. Maybe they are, but their patronising approach left me 'frozen'. I don't like being called 'Buddy' by an 18 year old Hollywood starlet wearing an insincere grin, I don't like self-absorbed staff-members shouting personal communication to each other across my dining table and I don't like being constantly asked... We have stayed a number times and really enjoy it. Sure the bathrooms are down the corridor but we have never found that to be a major issue and it is important to retain the character of a lovely building. If you have a room at the front, expect some street noise as the hotel is on the highway, but... More

We stayed at the healesville hotel last night, and also had drinks at the bar during the day as well as dinner in the bar later that night. Staff are chilled, young and relaxed. Any person posting a negative tripadvisor review regarding staff attitude simply doesn't understand the vibe the managers and staff are going for..... Cool and calm staff... More

Hello Nat and Jules We appreciate you taking the time to let us know about your recent stay at the hotel. Very clean, inexpensive and charming. I don't bother staying any where else in the valley. Tour wineries by day and spend time in town at night and walk back to hotel. Or eating there is a nice experience aswell.

Have been here a few times over the years but NEVER AGAIN. The service has never been great but the food has been worth the poor service, but the last time was the straw that broke the camel's back. I had read there had been a change in management so decided to give it another try. First time back in... More

We booked the 1 night package with 3 course dinner included. First impressions of hotel were good. Beautiful cosy dining room. But there were many mixups which left us feeling disappointed. We hadn't been booked in for dinner ('maybe your rate didn't include it'). At dinner, there was a mixup with our starters & my partner received a different meal... More

Thank you for taking the time to review us from your recent trip to Healesville. There was a mistake made on your booking and obviously a breakdown in... More

A large group of us recently travelled to Healesville for a wedding. The Healesville Hotel was recommended to us. I was surprised by how expensive it was. $505 for two people (2 nights accommodation with one dinner and one breakfast) - this was more than I recently spent for a 7 night stay at a luxury resort in Thailand!
