We have just had a very enjoyabe 3 day break in Halls Gap - staying at the Halls Gap Motel, 153 Grampians Rd, Halls Gap. Mutton done up as Lamb. Old motel that has covered a few cracks. Its obvious to me that the vast majority of good reviews must come from friends & aqaintances of the owners as its an average place to say the least. Had planned to stay 3 nights (based on the reviews) but after 1 night decided to change plans... More

This is a small motel but it has everything you need. The rooms were clean and it looked as though the bathroom had recently been renovated. The big pluses here are: The really friendly owner (new) The wonderful views from the grounds The price - it was very cheap

This place has the best views in Halls gap. A pity the managers are so poor. we booked two rooms. they cancelled one on us, we arrive to discover we had lost a room. last minute changes like that are unacceptable. oddly, now they were full! to say we had called and cancelled the room, was a bit rich. the... “Great Location and acommodation, wildlife all around you”

The location is excellent, just 5 minutes walking to the villa center, away from the noise. Also near the Grampians attractions (is better to have a car to visit everything) In the mornings and before sunsent you will receive some visitants... we feed the wild cackatoos and one came in my shoulder also some kangaroos come around in the lake... Very good motel and accomodation. Brilliant rooms and restaurant. A perfect location to spot wildlife and kangaroo's! Very kind and personal owners!

My wife and I just spent 1 night at the Halls Gap Motel, Rate was $100 per night. The Motel consists of 10 ground floor units. Very basic. 1 large room with double bed and adjoining bathroom. Stayed one night. Very reasonable and very clean and comfortable. Fantastic location with deer, kangaroos, cockatoo and a wetland teaming with birds. Excellent. Thanks. Very friendly too.
