Very warm welcome , we returned after 4 years lace still has character althougt very tired rooms , which are due to be refurfbished this year , hope they don't spoile it by trying to modernise too much, but the rooms do really do need doing , we ate in the resturant the first night but it was very cold... Never left a comment before but felt I really had to after staying here. The hotel is steeped in history which I love, the whole place oozes atmosphere and I only wish the walls could talk. The room we stayed in, in the main part of the hotel was great, very comfortable and spotlessly clean. We ate in the restaurant... More

I love this beautiful hotel in such a lovely little area of Wales. The staff are so friendly, the hotel is just gorgeous and the rooms are so comfortable. It is a delight to stay here. Ive stayed here with my family, with friends and on business and I cannot find fault. The area is a lovely friendly local place... More

We thoroughly enjoyed a weekend break at the Radnorshire hotel, full of character, a lovely bar with friendly staff and beautiful garden. Our room had original features with garden views couldn't recommend it more highly.

Stayed here with friends for four nights to walk in the area, and had no regrets. Room refurbished, spotless and spacious. Lovely panelling in dining room, where we ate each night. Extremely friendly, helpful and professional staff. Chef clearly took pride in his cooking and presentation

The hotel is housed in a very old building dating from the 16th Century, so yes, the floorboards creak a bit! However our room was very comfortable, although it could do with a bit of a refresh (the carpet was a bit threadbare under the window for example). It was spotless, though, as was the good sized, modern bathroom. It... More

We stayed here when visiting family in the area. The building has an amazing history, Queen Elizabeth I, Charles I, a priest's hole, a lynch mob, you name it. Our rooms were in the 'newer' (Victorian) part of the building, spacious and well appointed. The bathroom still needs updating, and will be in the course of the renovation programme being... More

The RA is undergoing a much needed renovation. It's main building is feeling sorry for itself and the room we stayed in (4) was lacklustre to say the least. Curtains so transparent that the light streamed through them; uncomfortable beds; stains on the ceiling, walls and carpet; a shower that ran hot and cold alternately; a dirty duster left in... More

We'd booked the room in the spring, especially requesting a good room in the old part of the hotel, however when we turned up were told that we must spend the night in the wooden block of rooms in the garden, as there was no other room available. We were told that there were' problems due to a refurbishment that... More

A fantastic place for a pint, lots for the kids to do in the garden. Despite being renovated only a few years ago it has begun to look like a tragedy about to happen, what happened, where did they spend the money? They need urgently to find a Chef that can cook. I would not recomend ordering anthing more complicated... More
