Very enjoyable stay at Milebrook House Hotel, the room was very comfortable, we were given a warm welcome in the lounge with a cup of tea and toasted crumpet and a lovely log fire was burning in the room. The food was good and we would go back to this hotel. Good value. The public rooms could do with a... More

This hotel quite simply serves the best food known to man, i would compare it to the waterside at bray (which i have eaten twice). the hotel its self needs a total update and looks very tired, it sieams like a old peoples home in one instance, but with AMAZING food and wine. The rooms are very dated and also... More

We stayed one night,it is like staying at the house of a well off elderly relative, old fashioned, faded, but comfortable enough. There was only one other couple staying and a table of 6 for dinner so it was all a bit strange, you could hear their entire conversations. Not much ambience in the public rooms (too much light and... More

I have stayed in this small family run before and was not disappointed with a repeat visit. Very good food, comfortable rooms, very friendly management and staff. They really do care. The gardens are well worth exploring, running down to the river and a great deal of the produce comes from their vegetable patch. More

we stayed for 2 nights in this fab house in the country in August and enjoyed every minute of it. The food was totally out of this world! we had the most wonderful fillet of hake ever and beef fillet that melted in the mouth. The puddings were surblime also, a lovely dark chocolate tart followed by a crunchy peanut... More

We have stayed at this hotel 3 times and each time has been lovely and really relaxing. This time was no different - 3 nights of delicious food, the chef really is excellent and the desserts were stunning, even each bottle of wine with dinner was delicious. The bedroom was a good size and very clean although the only niggle... More

A few people have made comment about the shabby shabby decorations -not sure if they were in the same place ? It was just great More

We booked Milebrook on a whim, as we wanted to extend our holidays by a couple of nights but, due to the bank holidays, most places were fully booked. It was recommended in one of the 'Boutique Hotels' books we found in the (wonderful) hotel we were staying in and we thought it a stroke of good luck to have... More

We have just had a two night break here, and first impressions were mixed, however we soon realised that the wonderful food and service made up for the rather old fashioned room and bathroom that was in need of a spruce up.The place was full with many guests who had returned and local people coming in to enjoy the good food.We really... Milkebrook was a liitle bit of a disappointment, given its review in Welsh Rarebits. The owners Beryl and Rodney know what they are doing but it gives the impression of being somewhere that time has passed by. The room (room 8) was clean, tidy and well equipped with most of my needs. But to illustrate, sometimes I wish owners would... More
