Having returned home from a relaxing three night stay at the Brigands, I cannot find anything to fault this wonderful inn. The food and accommodation was just fabulous and the evening meals were of a high quality and reasonably priced. I was made very welcome by the lovely staff (you know who you all are!) and they really made me... More

we stayed here just before christmas for a night, as we'd been before to sample the food on the recommendation of a family member and were not disappointed with either. The staff are very friendly and the food served in top notch.

We stayed two nights here, a lovely old world character inn with plenty of original features, It is not a 'glass and chromium' place just olde world and comfortable. We had two evening meals in the restuarant both meals were very good, the specials board on the wall was quite extensive and varied. The bedroom was OK for size but... More

Stayed one night with friends; excellent dinner, - the welsh mussels were superb - and the food and wine excellent value (There seems to be a very efficient importer of Argentinian wine in the area as all the local pubs have it!) Unfortunately a problem arose with the hotels water heating system but a plumber was called and worked most... More

We stopped here for lunch. We arrived around 1p.m. When we arrived, it was pretty empty so it seemed like we had the restaurant to ourselves. Staff were friendly and gave good recommendations. I had the salmon cakes which were really good, my husband had the battered cod and my in laws had the meat pie and bangers & mash.... More

We stopped here on the way back to Hereford from Arthog. We arrived at 1.55pm after having stopped at 2 other pubs on the way which were closed. As this was the only place open we were glad to find it. When we arrived it was fairly busy, there was one lady behind the bar who was fairly overworked, especially... More

Booked a table for 7.30pm. Got there to be told there was a 20m delay on the kitchen so were given menus to look at in the shabby 'snug' with our drinks. There were many tables full - and no one eating so that should have raised the alarm really - another couple were looking at menus in the snug... More

We booked in a hurry but we were delighted with the location, the room and the extensive menu. Staff made us very welcome. Breakfast was excellent. A really good inn to visit on our trip out to North Wales
