A freind and I were in St Davids. Both local to Pembrokeshire, we had a couple of hours to kill on a wet & windy morning. As it was 9.30am all the cafes etc were closed, to be expected at that time of day and out of season. We spotted the sign outside The Old Cross mentioning breakfast & coffee....well... More

I've read some of the reviews here about the Old Cross Hotel & I wonder if they were written somewhat out-of-context. the Old Cross is a centrally located hotel in a tiny city which is quite a long way from busy civilisation! As such, I would rate it well. I don't think that it is sensible to compare with busy,... More

Ate here for lunch in the summer, average, nothing special. Recently ate there for dinner, what the hell has happened?? How do you burn beans? I'd love to know. I can only gather they have a new chef, the chips were just pockets of grease and scampi was dire. 2 of the easiest things to cook. Veggie lasagne not bad despite... More

The hotel has an excellent location smack in the midst of Saint David and offers its own parking spaces. But there are notices with don'ts everywhere, which took some of the welcoming feel away. It is also on the expensive side.

This hotel, restaurant, bar is well situated right in the centre of St David's with a large car park and(garden. It should have everything going for it, but has remained stuck in the 1960's somewhere. Shabby old fashioned carpets, plastic covered bench seats, plastic flowers and a mishmash of pictures on the walls. We called for a drink and to... More

We have been coming to St Davids for 6+ years - camping nearby. After a complete blow out, with a ripped tent and rain forecast we headed for St Davids to seek refuge! We stayed in a family room with two young boys and an infant - plenty of room and clean. Very friendly staff and nothing was too much... More

Right in the heart of St Davids, so you couldn't ask for a better location. The hotel looks the part on the outside, but the inside is dated. Breakfast not too clever, we waited at least 10 minutes before the waiter could get around to take our order as he was running around trying to catch up with orders for... More
