At very short notice I decided to spend New Year away from home in a hotel. As a single man not in the first flush of youth I have avoided such things in the past, not wanting to feel like Banquo's ghost at the party. Websurfing, I came across Manorhaus offering a New Year Gala dinner and rooms. There was... More

My husband and I loved staying at Manorhaus, the room was spotless, the bed very comfortable and we were very warm, particularly loved the sauna, nothing was too much trouble for Chris or Gavin. The room was cleaned every day, you could have clean towels whenever you wanted. We had breakfast on both days and had a full English which... More

We recently took advantage of a two night break at Manorhaus which was on offer over the winter period. It was a thoroughly enjoyable stay with a clean comfortable room. There is a lovely relaxed ambience and we enjoyed the displayed artwork by local artists, plus all of the individual quirky touches. The hotel is slightly awkwardly placed for checking... More

This hotel is small but very quirky, but in a good way. Food was excellent, service very good. Library fully stocked with books, DVD's and magazines for every taste. Room was cozy but clean and tidy but I must say that the artwork on the walls was not to my taste at all. Would stay there again and have no... More

My husband and felt like VIPs from the minute we arrived until we left. Not once were we asked for our room number the whole time we were there, and the bill was completely accurate on leaving. The service was personal, discrete and efficient. We ate on both the bar menu and a la carte, and both were delicious, although... More

Myself and my husband stayed for an Anniversary weekend and had one of the smaller but very cosy rooms. I found the hotel really quirky, but in a good way. It is an old manor house and you really get that feel when you walk in. The Library, small but with a good choice of books and DVD collection was... More

we recently stayed at this lovely hotel in the centre of Ruthin North Wales. What a delight to be greeted by somebody (James in this case) who seemed to care you were a guest. Absolutely NOTHING was too much trouble for him. I don't know how he did it, but we never waited more than 30 seconds for his attention... More

All you could possibly want for a wonderful weekend, beginning with a warm and courteous welcome; efficient service; wonderful room (just like it shows on website); very comfortable bed with luxurious linen; fabulous food in bar and restaurant which aptly complements the eclectic surroundings and decor of this delightful hotel. Looking forward to a return visit in the summer. More
