Our room was a small double which we were told at the time of booking and was lovely, although not much cupboard space, but as we were only there for a weekend it wasnt really a problem. We were welocomed at reception and all staff we met were pleasant. The food was of a good quality and the English breakfast... More

nice rural location raised hopes.Soon dashed as on arrival our eyes were drawn to a red swivel office chair gracing the car park ,we also noticed some litter including toilet roll on the patio area. We received a slightly wan welcome and the lunch we ordered was very basic with plastic square shaped ham on the baguettes - no locally... More

We did book this Inn at short notice and they did allow us to have our dog in the room for an extra fee and maybe this had a bearing on the very basic very small room which was number 5. we were greeted by a pleasant young man who showed us to our room, our 2 friends came up... More

Having arranged to go to a 40th birthday party at a nearby caravan site we had a very limited choice of nearby accomodation so had to go for the Oak Lodge Hotel which at £70 for a double room seemed high but it was a special occasion so booked it and hoped for a good standard. The hotel was very... More

Unfortunately, as is often the case with reviews, people tend not to approach staff during their stay to rectify any minor problem they might have experienced. They wait until they get home and write reviews for all to see. If research is carried out first, they would find that £35 per person per night including breakfast is a very reasonable... More

The B&B was ok, at £70 for a double room though it seemed overpriced. The place was clean but quite old and did not look too much like the web site. My main dissapointments were that there was no hairdryer and very creeky rooms, you could hear people in the room above and people walking down the corridoors. On the... More

Thank you for your review. We have not been here at The Oak Lodge very long and yes, it is old, but that adds a lot to it's charm. Due to it's age, since we've been here we've updated all the bathrooms which are all decorated in very modern tiling and fittings, since your review the floorboards upstairs in the... More

We stayed for three nights over the August bank holiday. We have eaten here several times before the stay and have always had a nice meal, so were confident that it would be a good place to stay whilst attending a family get together. We booked the family room as this was the only one available for the three nights... More

Thank you for you review. You mention that the cost of the room at £90 is excessive? This room sleeps 4 people, therefore, at £22.50 per person including a full breakfast we feel this is excellent value. The bathroom had been recently installed when you came to stay, we remember the incident very clearly. Although finding a hair on the... More

We stayed just one night at the Oak Lodge Inn arriving from Eire on the ferry to Holyhead around lunchtime. Anglesey is worth exploring and this is a good spot to explore it from. There are good views from the upstairs bedrooms and the facilities are nice and clean - bed was a double (not queen) but the bathrooms appear... More

Six of us met up for lunch at this establishment having heard that it was under new management. We were met by blank unfriendly faces from the owners, a truculent barmaid who told us there was no ice for the drinks. This really set the tone for the whole experience. Many times reheated dried up curry, chicken & bacon salad... More

Thank you for your review. It's nice to learn that you have since returned to The Oak Lodge, where I'm sure you have now experienced the same top quality food and drinks that hundreds have commented on very favourably. You'll also have been served by our extremely friendly staff, if not then it's a treat you have yet to look... More
