My visit to Amlwch was only short and I was so pleased to have found Pen Y Cefn Guesthouse for it. The guesthouse is excellently located right near the centre of Amlwch, within easy reach of the main bus stop and getting onto the roads if you are coming by car. My room and bathroom were spotless, every detail had... More

The perfect place to stay when visiting Anglesey and mainland North Wales, Pen Y Cefn is a six star guesthouse - other places, including many better quality hotels, should take note! Excellent hospitality, rooms and breakfasts! Colin and Jenny are the perfect hosts, nothing is too much trouble. We will definitely be staying again! A home from home! One tip... More

We were introduced to Colin and Jenny through a link on FB. All I can say is - what an enjoyable experience. With Colin and Jenny nothing is too much trouble. They put themselves out at every turn. Jenny loves a chin wag - especially as we come from her neck of the woods, was no hardship on my part... More

My husband and I stayed here for one night only and can't get over the pleasure Colin and Jenny took in looking after us. The rooms were spotlessly clean, extremely comfortable and well equipped. Nothing was too much trouble and they managed to help us out with an unusual request - I bet it's not every who requests till roll!... More

We arrived at Pen Y Cefn two very soggy and tired hikers, to be greated at the door by Jenny and Colin. It would be difficult to imagine two less appealing looking guests arriving at your B&B.Instead, our waterproofs and boots were whisked away to be dried, we were presented with tea coffee and chocolate biscuits before being taken up... A really great place to stay - excellent quality for money - beautiful luxury accommodation, food and hosts who go out of their way to provide top quality service - guests are treated like royalty and dear friends.. This was the second time we stayed here. Best B&B we ever stayed at.

The hospitality was great. The place was spotless and the rooms were very tastefully decorated. Jenny was very flexible and obliging and nothing seemed too much trouble. It was an ideal location for walking that section of the Anglesey Coastal Path. We will certainly recommend the place to our family and friends.

We have rarely had such a warm welcome as we had from Jenny & Colin who were impeccable hosts and did their utmost to make our stay as enjoyable as possible. Our room was very comfortable, nicely furnished and spotless as was the superb en-suite which had a fabulous double shower. The breakfast was better than you get in some... More
