We have just returned from a week's visit with our daughter's family, one three year old and a baby. Unfortunately, we were less than impressed. Location wise, Afonwen Farm is ideal - in a lovely spot, great views and very easy access to most parts of North Wales. As regards the cottage - that's another story. It is in desperate... More

After reading other reviews think we must have had bad luck, the cottage was very dirty and cold and the coin meter gobbled coins.Cobwells everywhere and the toaster was unusable. All the electrical items PAT testing was well out of date. The games room was scruffy and most of the things in it were broken as were the childrens toys in the... We have stayed at Afonwen many times now and on each visit find it better than ever. The addition of the swimming pool and gym in recent years is welcome - we swam every day before breakfast and had several workouts during the week. Afonwen Farm's location is second to none. Whatever your preference, water based activities, walking or visiting... More

We have been returning to this delightful location for many years and have stayed in virtually all of the cottages during these times. The quality of the facilities are excellent and have developed over the years. The proprietors Arthur and Nia have become great friends and are always available should assistance be required. The families that we have met during... More

My husband and I just returned back to Canada after visiting the UK and spending 4 days at Afonwen in Deri Cottage. The cottage was lovely and warm and cozy and we had everything we needed for a great stay. The pool and the hottub was great to relax in an evening. Nothing was too much trouble at all -... More

Stayed in Dwyfor for last 3 years. There's plenty to keep the children occupied on site and is well positioned for Snowdonia and the Lleyn Peninsula. The owners are friendly and helpful and we've booked in for another year !

The owners are very friendly and always there when you need them. The cottages are all clean... More

We have been visiting the farm for 9 years, and would never chose to stay anywhere else, it's like a home from home and the kids love it, pool and gym are a fantastic addition and are great for the whole family on rainy days, the cottages have everything you need for a relaxing holiday, lots to do locally and...
