Probably one of the worst meals we've had out. We both had pork loin in cider and apple with vegetables (sign outside said home grown) we were offered chips or new potatoes, we opted for chips. When it arrived the pork was in a tasteless sauce, like a boil in the bag type and the veg were tinned peas .... More

We come here every time we stay in a holiday cottage in Harlech. Its a very friendly pub with a great atmosphere. There is a great area for the kids to play and its situated along a beautiful river. There are waterfalls not to far from here. They are worth the 5 minute drive from the pub. Definitely worth a... More

We recently visited Wales for the first time, despite having lived in the UK for 35 years! We stayed for 3 nights at the Victoria Inn and would very happily have stayed longer had time permitted. Our room was very clean and comfortable with a well modernised bathroom. They seem to have modernised the rooms recently, but have kept the charm... More

We decided to take a run out to Portmerion from Dolgellau....we found what we thought was a very pleasant place for lunch on the way. It looked the part and the menu looked reasonable so we tried it. We ordered at the bar as requested and was told that food would be HALF AN HOUR, which didn't bother us a... More

I booked to stay at The Victoria Inn after seeing pictures of Shell Island on the VisitWales website and Llanbedr seemed to be the nearest town to stay without actually camping on the island. We arrived and had to go to the bar to find someone who could check us in and there is no seperate reception area. A nice... More

We went down to Llanbedr yesterday to see friends and originally just stay one night in our caravan nearby. After arriving and a nice cup of coffee in the bar area, my husband surprised me by booking us in a room for the night. We had good snack of Hawaian special on Ciabetta bread, that was great, and the ambiance... More
