We stayed here for one night with 3 children, the room layout was great for a family although it's a bit of a task keeping the children away from the numorous ornaments. As we had to specify a time for breakfast we asked for 8.30, the lady told us it had to be 8 as she had somebody else eating... More

Stayed here for one night and had a very nice stay. Quite hard to find but we asked directions and got there in the end.The owner is absolutely eccentric and we loved her quirky style. the bedrooms are very old fashioned in a lovely way, old antiques etc and there was a nice roll top bath and plenty of hot... Stayed here on a cold night in November 2011 and were pleasantly surprised how cosy and warm the room was. The location is great, Amanda is a delightful hostess and the breakfast was one of the very best we have tasted! Please Amanda, where do you get your marvellous porridge oats? Would certainly stay here again.

We had no problem finding Meyrick Street when we arrived at Dolgellau but it took us a while to locate Ty Seren. The B&B only had a small signboard next to its main door that said "Star House" if I remember correctly. It's located behind a shop called "Mars vs Venus" (just like the photo on the internet) and directly... More

Location and reception could hardly be any better. Very cosy, typical B&B feeling you seldom ever get in a hotel, actually this is why we love to go to the UK (apart from sights ofcourse). Wonderful hostess/owner who has an intelligent opinion and is not afraid to have a personal conversation, rather than just talk about the weather. Wonderful, wonderful.... More

For starters, this is a lovely old building. I stayed in a single. Not the biggest room in the world but was clean and tidy with a large bed, shower and TV with some free view channels. The host, Mrs. Morgans was extremely friendly and provided the biggest full weslh breakfast that I have had. We couldn't have been any... More
