although the address is Chester it is a good 20 minute drive to the centre of Chester. We went for a family weekend to celebrate a 60th birthday. The first night we were there we are in the hotel - the food was ok but not suitable for children and limited children's menu. Some of the staff were friendly but... More

I cannot fault this hotel AT ALL. Before going to St Davids, i read some of the previous reviews to check out what everyone thought about it and i really dont understand the bad ones! The rooms are very large and spacious, very modern and well decorated. There are a few things that could be touched up a little but... More

First and foremost, it St David’s Park Ewloe nr Chester, it’s not Chester We arrived booked into a package deal, upgraded to “upper deck” level where we would find toiletries that we would want to take home, get real no different than any other hotel, the room s had previously had a smoker in it and smelt of tobacco, although... Have stayed quite a few times. We cannot fault the rooms, had booked a king size room and got a 'more family room' it was really nice and spacious, even had a separate shower cubicle in the bathroom. Room was spotless and located in a quiet area. Had booked for a friday night deal with evening meal and breakfast, but... More

Although as many people have pointed out on here, this hotel is not in Chester, but right on the A55! Have never stayed in a Village hotel before, and wasn't sure what to expect other than other peoples' opinions. We had a refurbished room, which was large and very modern. I did think we'd made a good choice, until I... More

Positives: sports and coffee bars are a strength of the Village brand. Bedrooms have also been modernised and offer a comfortable stay. Breakfast and dinner range and service had certainly gone down hill since we previously stayed as a Devere hotel. Spa/pool side was also poor and tired.

Just come back from a 2 night break in one of the "recently refurbished" family rooms and will not be stopping there again. Bathroom was disgusting and not something you would expect from the Village / De Vere brand. We stopped here 2 years ago and had a completely different experience - that time everything was first class. The bedroom... More
