Excellent hospitality and facilities and only about 0.5 miles form the Great Glean Way. Joy and Andrew are great hosts and even gave us a lift along to the local hotel for dinner. Guest lounge had a wood burning stove which was a welcome addition given the snowy weather outside! Breakfast was excellent and exactly as requested, we would definitely... More

We've just returned from a three night stay at Craigard Guest House, and are really grateful for the great welcome we received on our first trip to the Highlands. Our accommodation was a nice room with a view of the red squirrels that we saw coming to feed from the peanuts in the trees outside, constant hot water, and we... More

Very good welcome, very quiet. It is a lovely place and we enjoy our stay. Nice Scottish breakfast also.

Good point - you can see red squirrels in the garden. Bad points. Generally tired and tatty decoration. Bathrooms fitted by someone who has never seen a spirit level. Nowhere to put toiletries in bathroom. Used (for what we didn't bother trying to find out) tissues under the bed. The breakfast however took our breaths away! When it first came... More

Clearly this person has had a disappointing stay. I must make clear that anyone expecting to see red squirrels in our garden they are likely to be disappointed. They can only be seen from two bedrooms, they cannot be seen from elsewhere because there is no cover from cats in the garden. Confusingly the first room, the chances of seeing... More

We have stayed at Craigard several times and I thought it was time we wrote a review! Joy and Andrew the owners are so friendly and helpful, Andrew is really knowledgeable about local walks and wildlife and gave us an amazing tip off for a place to visit - we saw deer, an otter, a sea eagle...Nice one! The breakfasts... More

We stayed here during our Great Glen Way walk and although this is a bit of a distance from the walk the service we received was fantastic. My partner got ill and the owner actually got us some food so I could stay in and make sure she was ok. The rooms are really nice and clean, breakfast was very... More

My niece and I stayed at Craigard House for three nights as we visited sites in the surrounding area. I can't say enough about how helpful Andrew was in suggesting places to visit in the area from Loch Ness to the Isle of Skye and Applecross. Andrew is very knowledgeable about the area and told us about several enchanting places.... More

We stopped here for an overnight. The house is Victorian and is decorated in period colours/style; a little dark in some corners. The pleasant owners have chosen to furnish it with (mostly) older stuff; not so good if you are committed minimalists! That said, the 5' bed was virtually new with an excellent duvet and good bedding. A very good... More

Craigard Guest House settled and suited me more than any BnB or Guesthouse in its price range ever has. It is in its essence high end, affordable for the refined experience, not overly large or impersonal, perfect for acquaintanceship with other guests, the hosts, the region, and inspiring the most eased form of awe and content in its parlour with...
