Stayed 1 night after crossing from Belfast in the ferry. Excellent B&B overall, with friendly hosts Gayle and Mick. Would strongly recommend it as a B&B, but get directions from them prior to arrival, if you're not using a car (as I wasn't), as the walk from the ferry terminal can be a bit confusing.

We stayed 1 night waiting for the ferry to Northern Ireland. This worked well. The owner, Gayle, was friendly and obliging, the room comfortable and the breakfast hearty and tasty. Little touches we liked were that the towels, tea and coffee supplies etc were all of good quality, Gayle offered us fresh milk for our tea, and she took our... More

We stayed with Mick and Gayle for 3 nights earlier this month, and found the whole experience brilliant! We had come up for a wedding, stayed the night before, and the following night to make a break of it, and would have stayed longer considering how comfortable the beds are! Road noise was barely audible, considering the road outside is... More

Stayed for one night whilst on business and it was lovely. Lovely people, lovely room, lovely breakfast. Fantastic value for money. Will definitely come back if working this way again. Thanks.

Very well received, friendly greeting, just what you expect from Yorkshire people. By the time we left, you would think we had known them all our lives. Keep up the good work, and hope to visit again

We spent a two night break here before travelling on to Ayr. There were no problems at all and we would not hesitate in recommending anyone to stay here in future. We had never been to Stranraer before and unfortunately there was not much for us to do there so don't think we would go again but Cross Haven was... More

We were staying in Stranraer en route during a charity cycle tour. Cross Haven was a welcome haven indeed - a really warm, clean and comfortable sanctuary. Gayle and Mick went beyond the expected by offering the garage for our bike kit, doing a laundry load, and giving us a generous room rate for our fundraising efforts.

Thank you for your comments. We hope that you successfully completed your tour and raised lots of money for a very worthy cause. I am glad we could help in a small way..... your efforts were much greater and the weather could have been kinder! More

All ok, but expensive for what it is, and compared to what else you can get in Stranraer. Not quite sure why I paid same as two people who were staying in similar room. A lot of road noise in my room,

I am very sorry that you were disattisfied with your stay at Cross Haven. I am surprised you experienced traffic noise as guests normally comment on the quietness of the location despite it's closeness to the town. The rate you paid was the double occupancy rate that you booked the room at. There was a single room available at a... More

Stayed three nights. Clean comfortable and quiet with some nice touches in the room such as books. Would stay again no problem. Mick and Gayle are nice friendly people who make sure you are comfortable and get a cracking breakfast to set you up for the day.

After a long drive it was fantastic to arrive to probably one of the best B/B's that I've ever been to. The ambience and peace of the house together with the comfort of the rooms made for a restful night. The substantial and tasty breakfast set us up for our onward ferry journey to Ireland. My two companions were extremely... More
