Auld Smiddy cottage is an imaginatively restored smiddy, small but so incredibly well planned and laid out that it seems much bigger! The cottage was superbly well equipped with everything we could possibly need and was warm and cosy for a wet and windy week in January! As we have two large dogs we have to find places that are... Mine was a very brief stay at East Muntloch Croft but I was made to feel so much at home that I almost forgot to pay! I've visited the Mull many times, over many years. It's lovely for a quiet break and this is a great B&B. All the compliments from earlier guests are well deserved. Thank you Diane and... More

Thankyou to Diane and John, we had a wonderful night in your B&B. The views were fantastic as were the room and the breakfast. We would highly recommend you to anyone and hope to return soon. Five star experience! Anna and Bruce from Co Durham. More

My wife and I spent a highly enjoyable week (23-30 October 2011) at the cottage. We have been in many holiday cottages over the years (including one in Ambleside/Lake District) during the summer. "Glen Auchie" cottage is certainly way up the list of our favourite cottages: furnished and equipped to a very high standard, it was refreshingly warm and comfortable,... More

My husband & I spent a marvellous week at the beginning of July in this gorgeous property. The cottage is superb, very well appointed and beautifully clean. We spent many evenings after dinner in the conservatory just looking out at the fab view and even saw an owl on at least 3 occassions. The location is so tranquil and I... More

In Glen Auchie cottage we have found a wonderful and cozy cottage in peaceful and beautiful surroundings, with a warm welcome spottlessly clean and equipped to a very high standard. The views are stunning, with lots of bird life to watch from the conservatory. We stayed from 10th Sept - 17 Sept 2011, had a lovely relaxing week and could... More

It was wonderful Scottish Hospitality. At a very reasonable price. We were only staying two nights but nothing was too much. Everyone was so welcoming, even the dogs, cats and the hens lay eggs for you. We do hope to return and would like to try the cottages. Many thanks. More

We loved our front bedroom with stunning views of the headland and Mull of Galloway lighthouse. Diane and John Gilmore were excellent hosts and we felt it was a real ' home from home' place. Rooms were spacious, clean and the bed was very comfortable and towels were changed daily. We were very impressed with all the refreshments each day... More

East Muntloch B&B is by far the best B&B we have stayed in. Having mapped our route and accommodation for our cycle tour of SW D&G, we didn't think anything could match our first B&B in Newton Stewart - how wrong could we be! East Muntloch had it all - lovely people, nothing too much trouble - breakfast to die... More
