Very well run hotel with friendly staff. Good food and hotel clean. We were told that we had the biggest room (no.1) and it was adequate with great views of the sea and harbour but be warned, the shower room is tiny therefore it would be a problem for larger people. Parking could be a problem in the high season.... More

I have stayed in the waterfront hotel twice, and have enjoyed both trips very much. The service is friendly, the location is superb and the seafood is terrific. The rooms are clean and comfortable and the breakfast plentiful. Great pub next door. I would recommend this hotel very highly.

This review is probably colored mostly by terrific experiences everywhere in Scotland, so lots of competition for my Excellent reviews... The room was small for two twin beds and the bathroom was difficult to get around in...That being said, the inn keepers accommodated us with an early breakfast so that we could make our tee time at the course.... Great... More

Here you will find a very friendly welcome and service, well appointed comfortable rooms, tranquil sea views and delicious seafood. ... faultless! And just next door a cracking night of Scottish folk music and fine whisky on a Sat night. Scotland doesn't get much better than this - but try to book early as weekends are very busy.

Our second stay at The Waterfront - a snow-delayed Christmas present from my wife! We can't praise it enough, from the warm welcome and friendliness of Anne and the team to the room with a view over the harbour and out to sea, to the excellent food. The room was a decent size, the bed was large and comfortable... and... More

Called at the Waterfront Hotel, Portpatrick with a group of 48 others for Sunday Lunch. The food, presentation and service was outstanding and very reasonably priced. Normally with such a large group there will be one or two who will not be happy with some aspect of the meal or service - this was certainly not the case at the... More

Myself and three friends stayed here recently . The staff were very friendly and helpful and the food in the restaurant brill. On a downside the rooms and in particular the en suite were very small. and the choice at breakfast limited.

Our society golf group have just returned from a memorable 3 nights stay at the Waterfront with some having completed 13 years in a row ( only my 7th year and 10th visit ). It is one of the most freindly atmoshere's and we were all treated very well once again, including drying our very wet golf clothes, not forgetting... More
