We stayed for two nights with our children, had Hannay and Croft which adjoined via bathroom.. lovely rooms and bathroom. You will loose all contact with outside world, no mobile signal and wifi at hotel relatively poor... however with such a fabulous setting, good food an great wine and port selection - why bother with technology.. everything was done to... I ate lunch here a few weeks ago - it was amazing! The location of the property is also spectacular. Next time I want to stay!

My partner and I stayed here in January and it's difficult to find any faults. Fantastic location with great views and walks. Stunning room and great service. The meal (which is extra to the room) was possibly the best I've had. Michelin star chef for a good reason. Brilliant wine list too!!! Worth the money without a doubt!

Stayed here several times over last few years. Always delighted. Nothing disappoints. My wife tells me the toiletries may have gone a bit down market. And we didn't see the black Labrador during our most recent stay - that's about as close to criticism as I can get!

We have just returned from our 3rd visit to this beautiful hotel! The first was October 2011 and the 2nd, our amazing wedding in January 2011. The staff were, as always, friendly, welcoming and attentive. Special mention at this point for Anne and Scott, who's service throughout our visit was faultless. The building and setting help but it is the... More

We arrived at the lodge, set in a deep valley in the afternoon. We were at once shown to our delightful room (the Bachelor, which made us laugh) and offered tea or coffee. We went out into the sunshine and walked on the stony beach and then up on to the cliffs on the path bounded by blackthorn blossom, yellow... More

We stayed overnight and had a wonderful time. Really surprised to read one review referring to staff as being snooty, as our experience was the reverse. Having been a bit worried about it being formal and stuffy we found the staff friendly and welcoming. In fact a couple of the waiting staff I would have described as rather nervous, which... More

Stayed one night on an itison deal. On checking in, we were was asked if we had been before (we hadn't), then we got the low-down on how things were done in this establishment ( a shade snootily). Dinner was a disappointment - whilst we didn't mind a no choice meal, what we didn't expect at £56 per head that... More

We have just returned from Knockinaam Lodge which can be summed up as 3 days of glorious perfection! From the minute you arrive you feel that you are staying with friends and nothing is too much bother for the staff. Dinner is a most wonderful gastronomic experience, beautifully presented and of the highest quality. Breakfasts are equally sumptious. This was... More
