My friend and I stayed here on our second night of the West Highland Way. After a grueling day we were so happy to reach the Inversnaid car park but it just about killed us to find out that the taxi service wasn't running that day (for undisclosed reasons) and we had to drag ourselves up the hill. Once we... More

Inversnaid Bunkhouse is a lovely looking premises and I was very pleased with the look inside and out. The staff were friendly and showed us to our double (twin) room and the amenities. We prepared for the evening meal and as a group of 16 were all sat together, Stevie the chef was fantastic and I would recommend any meal... More

Hi reviewer. Thank you for review. While I admit we had some issues during your stay that we need to address and respond to you have given us an overall 4 stars which I very much appreciate. Several days prior to your visit another local business with whom we share our water supply had some plumbing problems that unfortunately cascaded... More

After a 22 mile walk from Drymen to Inversnaid I was a little concerned when I only got an answer phone when I phoned for a lift up the steep hill to the bunkhouse about a mile away. 15 minutes later after a couple of more attempts I got through and the lift arrived promptly. The bunkhouse is in a... More

Hi, Thank you for your helpful review. We listen to all opinions and suggestions very carefully and take appropriate action as required. With regard to the rooms we will put up instructions on all the room heaters to make these easier to operate. Sorry you didn't feel warm enough upstairs; the temperatures this "summer" have been vary erratic and it... More

I was pleasantly surprised by the range of amenities of this bunkhouse. The bunkhouse itself is a converted chapel, which makes this place somewhat mysterious. Have met people here, who I have been "bumping" into along the road later on. Food, service and atmosphere - all brilliant. There is a spacious dining room, with a couple of comfy sofas to... More

We have arrived there at around night and we were hungry. Luckily, they still provided the dinner and that's delicious. Location of hostel is not easy to be found and seems lack of mobile network in some places. But staff is very nice and helpful. Room is clean and tidy. With Hot bath but the water pressure is a bit... More

Nothing short of outstanding would be an understatement. From the free pickup at the lochside that arrived within minutes of phoning to the immpecable hospitality by the two staff (David and Raynor) who could not do enough for you. We stayed in the double rooms in the newly built section and they were spotlessly clean and perfectly reasonable in price.... More

The bunkhouse was great, after I had gotten over the shock of the hill climb-take my advice and get the free lift. The service was without exception the warmest I have come across. Rainer the american bloke should be giving hospitality to lessons as he was the best I have come across in a long time! Food and ambience were... More

Its a bit of a walk up the hill - over 1km - from Loch Lomond which you have to descend in the morning! The service was absolutely first class and breakfast very good. We were in the lodge. Although you share a bathroom the quality is very good but no lock on the bedroom door - a big minus... More

Not the natural choice for a 2 night October holiday with 7 Adults and 7 Children you might say. It is essentially a stopover vanue for exponents of the West Highland Way and other hardy souls who don't mind wandering, cycling or hiking in the middle or knowhere. There is a remoteness to this place that makes you wonder how... More
