My friend and I stayed at The Old Church as part of our West Highland Way walk. Mabel was so welcoming the minute we arrived, our room had been given away so she gave us a double ensuite room each, both were clean, comfortable and just what we needed after a long walk in the rain! Even 'though there was... More

We were made to feel very special from the moment we arrived. Tea and scotch pancakes and jam were given before we had even looked at the room. The room was spacious, beautifully appointed and had a lovely bathroom with walk in shower attached. We were toasty warm in the middle of a snowstorm and set off each day having... More

Every year we stay here on our way up to the Isle of Skye and always look forward to it with much pleasure. We are dreading the the time when Mabel decides to hang up tongs as our annual Scottish holiday would never be the same. Mabel is indeed the hostess with the mostest! The warmest of welcomes with a... More

Mabel made us feel really welcome at the end of a wet days walking on the West Highland Way. She quickly helped us to get our wet clothes sorted and put to dry for the next day. Tea and homemade scones appeared almost as quickly, and we were made to feel very much at home and comfortable. The bedroom was... More

As a family of 5 we stayed here this summer, 2012, whilst walking the West Highland Way. We arrived at Mabel's soaked to the skin and she helped us dry our clothes as got us settled as quickly as possible, then she made us the most delicious tea, cakes and pancakes. The house is so welcoming as is Mabel and... More

My travelling companion and I stayed for one night on our way to the Hebrides. The Old Church is in a peaceful setting with views to the mountains. The landlady was welcoming and really interesting to talk to. The house was beautifully presented and very traditional. Our room was bright, airy and spotlessly clean, with a lovely view. The breakfast... More

A lovely welcome with fresh tea and home made cakes. The room was clean and fresh with a lovely view. We had a very quiet night reading and listening to music. It is the breakfast which was stand out. My husband ordered fresh trout. A whole, beautifully cooked and succulent fish arrived! My scrambled eggs were rich. There were large... More

We stayed at The Old Church purely on the recommendation of Tripadvisor. Mabel is a b&b professional and her "product" is second to none. Our room was beautifully presented and the bed was large and comfortable. The breakfast the following morning was simply stunning and Mable makes her own cakes, bread and jams (and even use to make her own... More

This little B&B was a wonderful base from which to explore the Loch Lomond national park. The owner was very attentive and the breakfasts she prepared were excellent fuel for a days exploring. The rooms were simple, comfortable and cozy. However, Generation Xbox should be aware that there is no TV in the room, so after dinner exploring the foothills... More
