Stayed one night on a walking trip. All very clean and tidy. Owners very friendly and welcoming. Had a really nice dinner in the bar. Definitely recommended.

This is our second stay at the Kingshouse. First stay was in hotel.This time round in cottages! If , like ourselves, you enjoy a warm welcome, and enjoyable surroundings...why not visit again? The accomodation is excellent and comfortable....a hairdryer in the cottages would be a bonus!!

Iv stayed at kings house many many times both in the hotel and in the cottages i love the place and cant wait to go back again i always feel im leaving friends behind and feel sad at leaving full of history and the odd creak during the night adds to a fab stay

Despite the fact the hotel itself is a little dated in terms of decor, it was clean and extremely comfortable. My room was spacious, airy and benefitted from 2 opening windows! Stayed one night here. Not a very friendly warm welcome. Asked for something to eat at 20.50 and was told they couldn't serve us anything, not even a sandwich or toast. This is a great Scottish pub, rooms were a bit old-fashioned, but the bed was comfortable and everything worked. The meals in the Rob Roy Bar were fantastic. Good spot
