Friday evening meal here earlier in March - good value, extremely generous helpings and lovely atmosphere. Food well cooked and certainly banished a previous bad experience here (several years ago to be fair). We'd gladly return again - especially if the "Friday fish" menu is still available.. two courses and a glass of wine for £15.. can't ask for more... More

I've stayed with this chain before with mixed experiences. However I was pleasantly suprised with our stay. We choose this place as it seemed to be pretty central for looking about the area. The rooms were very comfortable and a good size, quite an old building so not a small box like some new builds. We only had one meal... More

The best part about this was the room (No 2) looked out right over the water and lovely view, however walls are pretty thin and you can hear people returning to their rooms in the middle of the night, etc. The disappointing part about our stay was only the option of continental breakfast, no cooked breakfast was offered, even although... I am writing this to you whilst it is still fresh in my mind. I visited the Balloch House on tuesday evening with my wife and four other family members, as we were on a break at nearby Cameron House. It was valentines evening and I expected it to be busier, we sat down and were served by a lovely... More

We ordered Haddock and chips in the bar and asked for a cofee and a beer. I was offered the choice of 4 real ales and 3 standard beers, while my wife was offered 6 different coffees. The Haddock arrived and it was a full haddock in batter with real hand cut chips, MUSHY peas and home made tartare sauce.... More

Came back with my wife, as we loved our last visit, this was a shorter stay - just one night. We ate in the pub on Saturday night, and Sunday lunch, both meals were great and good value. All of the staff were lovely, genuinely friendly.

After a great walk around parts of Loch Lomond, this was the ideal pub to stop at. Great welcome from the staff, lovely log fire burning in the corner, friendly locals and the menu was superb, lots of choice from tasty seafood through to salads and the desserts were to die for. The sticky toffee pudding sealed the deal! Anyway,... More

We arrived in Balloch by train, so reaching Balloch House was a piece of cake - it was around the corner. We didn't know there was a pub downstairs, but as soon as we arrived we were starving, so tried immediately their food - delicious pub food and great bear. Balloch House gives you indeed the feeling of great old... More
