Just returned from a wonderful 3 day break at The Claymore with National Holidays. From collection at Stockport, our driver Keith kept us fully informed of our weekend itinerary and was able to give a running commentary on the lochs, glens, Trossachs as well as our stops en route. The service in the hotel was second to none - our... More

We had a 1 nights stay with National Holidays and in April 2012 and a fab time. We paid the extra for the view of the loch and it was well worth it. The hotel itself is not in the best condition and could really do with some tlc but location and scenery really make up for this. The food... More

My husband and myself visited this hotel with National Holidays in April 2012. The hotel lies on the edge of Loch Long, surrounded by mountains. The scenery is stunning and we were fortunate to have a room overlooking the loch. The hotel is a fair size, very old and historic and extremely charming. Yes, carpets were threadbare in parts, wallpaper... More

I had a lovely stay here in the winter. Was my first real trip to rural Scotland and I loved it. It was snowy and freezing outside. My only complaint would be that the hotel was too warm! Which sounds silly considering how cold it was outside, but after a while it did get a little over warm. The little... More

Like so many others I always look on trip advisor before I book, go with the flow is our motto, we travelled by National Holidays from Gateshead and stayed at this wonderful hotel. Its the first time we have decided to use the coach and the first time at this hotel. It wont be our last for either of them... More

Nice hotel but the showers are complete rubbish to hot or to cold and the hot water is too hot easily to get scolded if you are not careful
