We had a brief stay at the Ardyne recently and, although the weather was awful, we were warm and comfortable in our room. The view from the large bay window was lovely and the bed was very comfortable too. Breakfast was good with a great choice and we would have been happy to stay longer.

We had a wonderful view from our quite large room. However the shower "cubicle" which contained the shower, wash basin and toilet was too small, particularly the wash basin. The mattress on our bed has seen better days and the furniture doesn't match the period of the room. None the less we mostly enjoyed our stay and the breakfast provided... More

Thank you for leaving a review. We were sorry to read your comments about the mattress as this bed is really quite new and is of high quality. When you rang to book you were very speciifc about your requirements and I did explain that the room you requested whilst large had a small en suite shower room but you... More

The room was lovely and large with an amazing view of the water which we could see the ferries coming and going. Our host was very friendly and happy to help us with advise about the area and places to eat. Breakfast was wonderful. My only negative comment would be that, though the room was spotlessly clean, the towels and... More

Many thanks for your lovely review which we very much appreciate. Sorry you thought the linen and towels were a bit thin. We use a commercial laundry service who provide all our linen and this is the best we can get delivered to the island. I will though pass on your comments to the laundry. Hoep to see you again. More

My wife and I have just returned from five days at the Ardyne in Rothesay. We were given a warm friendly welcome and then shown to our room on the first floor. The first thing that hits you is the absolutely stunning view across Rothesay Bay towards Loch Striven and the hills and mountains beyond. The room itself was large with a... More

It was a real pleasure to have you both here last week. So pleased you enjoyed your stay. Billy and I had dinner at Mount Stuart on Sunday night and following your recommendation we chose the Langoustine broth - we were equally impressed, it was superb, so thanks for telling me about it. More

We booked 3 nights in the Ardyne in Rothesay, and I would recommend it 100% to anyone looking for accommodation on the island. We were greeted and shown to our wonderful room, with a huge bay window overlooking the loch and the stunning mountains, The room was large, and spotlessly clean, with a separate dressing area and bathroom. Complimentary tea/coffee,... More

We are regular travellers to Rothesay on the Isle of Bute and as such we've stayed in a few different places. We've been very lucky because each place has either been as good as - or better than - the last. We normally stay in Battery Place, but this time - because we had our trusty Scottish Terrier with us... More

My husband chose for us to stay here when we visited and if hotels could be rated on the welcome alone then this would score highly. The welcome on arrival was great and the lassie that serves the breakfast was really nice and friendly. However, there are a few negatives to point out. Our room could have done with a... More

Many thanks for your review and I am pleased you were happy with the level of service. I do wish though that you had let me know immediately that you were unhappy with the room. We would have rectified any shortcomings immediately and cleanliness is of course the top priority, we are often complemented on our high standards. Because of... More
