I have stayed at the Bayview Hotel with Andrew and Irene for three successive years and their advert of "Come as a stranger, leave as a friend" has truly come to pass. My room has always been clean amd comfortable - redecorated this year plus new beds.Last year, I broke my arm badly and had to stay an extra week.... More

I have been coming to this hotel now for 6 years. Me, my daughter (5) and mum and dad stay at least once a year for a nice relaxing break. Irene and Andrew who own it are extremley friendly and go out there way to help you. The rooms are clean and spacious and breakfast is amazing. One of my... More

Just back from Bayview and had a lovely restful weekend with family. My husband and I holiday in Rothesay one or twice every year and have always booked into the Bayview over the past 10 years. The Bayview is a family run hotel and Irene and Andrew always make you feel welcome. Irene is a fountain of information on what... More

We recently visited the Bayview hotel and found it to be a bit tired looking. The website made it look like a very nice hotel, but I fear that the website is a bit out-of-date. The bedroom carpet hadn't even been hoovered before we arrived, the room was really cold and we had to switch on the heating. The room... More

Going to the Bayview was like stepping back in time, with board games in and old styel guest lounge and numbered tables - not that I though there was anything wrong with that, as I liked it. The house is an old Victorian place and we even had a room with a sloping floor. It is an old building and... More

We read the reviews and were not disappointed on our 4 day stay. Everything was as we anticipated - we even got the 4 poster and the view across the Bay to my old house and up Loch Striven where I watched the X Craft so many years ago, You do need to 'book' Dinner and the food was excellent.... Recently stayed with the MacGregors for Bute Highland Games and we were thrilled with our accomodation. Lovely big windows looking out onto a gorgeous panoramic view. Nice clean room, beautiful fresh fruit for breakfast and a great selection of hot and cold food to choose from! Would highly reccomend, perfect break away.

Within walking distance of Rothesay, off-road parking and "day to day" optional evening meal, this hotel suited us very well. Room very clean and tidy with flat screen TV and good size en-suite. Breakfast plenty and variable with respectible time frame! We took dinner most evenings which consisted of three courses all with choices.
