I turned up at the front door of this guest house on a wet and windy monday evening. I had just cycled the 5 Ferries route from Ardrossan(about 60 miles) I was cold, wet and miserable. My initial plan had been to Camp in a nearby campsite. however, with temperatures heading close to zero I was feeling chilled to the... More

Thank you for your super review, it was a rather cold night and I for one would not have liked to have camped out in the cold, the grass seeds, well we think they are starting to grow, but most of them have been washed downhill with the water. Hope to see you all again one day. More

We very much enjoyed our stay in the little flat with a view of the sea just over the road from us. It was also within a minute or two of the shops. Although compact, the flat was beautifully clean and well appointed. There were many very nice touches such as sea pictures on the walls and dried flowers which... More

We were a group of five friends traveling to Millport who, foolishly, boarded the wrong ferry and ended up trapped on the island overnight. Hazel and Harry stepped in to save the day after overhearing us discussing our situation on the ferry. They rented us one of their self-catering cottages, allowing us to cook all the food we had with... More

our 2 night stay in a clean, well set up family room overlooking the water was very enjoyable. Hazel & Harry were friendly, welcoming and a mine of information. The cooked breakfasts were more than adequate and well presented. A very quiet, central position within walking distance of the township with restaurants, hotels etc. If we ever go to the... More

I was most impressed with our hosts' attention to our dog Ghillie. Ghillie is nervous and unsettled by travel, but circumstances meant she had to come along, and have someplace to sleep through the night. It was great how Bob and Hazel, genuine animal lovers, set her tail-wagging, and obviously feeling at home in their guest house. We were even... More
