We overnighted here whilst touring and found the room very clean and comfortable. We were not bothered by any noise from the bar and the breakfast was excellent.

My partner and I stayed overnight in the hotel during a quick week-end away. Our room was basic, but spotlessly clean. The staff were friendly and the service was excellent. Good food as well - a great breakfast was included in the price.

I stayed here and was in room 5 and yes there is a droning noise but the new owners are aware of the noise problem and switch the air conditioning unit off at night and then the noise stops. I was speaking to the new owners and they have been here since february this year and seem to be doing... More

We popped in twice for a lunchtime snack..it's a 'real' pub with noisy, cheery customers and big comfy sofas either side of a real open fire. Staff friendly too and v obliging. My husband had the excellent home cooked soup and I had a delicious melted goats cheese on ciabatta with salad leaves.

Working in Lochgilphead I needed somewhere to stay and chose to stay here, a big mistake. I was aware there may be noise from the bar and i would have accepted this however I slept in room number 5 if you intend staying here and you get offered this room do not accept it as there was a multitude of... This is a busy town pub and restaurant so don't expect peace and quiet ! Some might find the bar area a bit intimidating - locals quite lively, watching footie, playing pool etc. The rooms are clean, basic but in need of updating. However very good value and the food makes up for the rooms. Breakfast very good, meals in... More

Arrriving at the Argyll Inn to spend the weekend in Scotland for a friend's wedding, for £75 a night for a twin room, we were expecting a little more than a badly decorated room with a horrendous noise problem! The room was dull with off-white wood chip wallpaper, two clean but fairly indiscriminate beds, and possibly the worst noise problem... More

We didnt actually stay at the Argyll Hotel as we were staying at the caravan park but ate there about 6 times during our stay. All the food was cooked to order and was excellent, especially the seafood. Nice friendly staff and reasonable prices. Would definately recommend.

We didn't stay here but popped in for a drink or two one damp Monday late afternoon. At first we were the only ones in but a few more visitors came in whilst we were there and were welcomed in the same friendly and warm way as us. Nothing was too much trouble, the bar manager put the tv on... More

Initial concerns were gone within seconds!! So so friendly and welcoming. All members of staff went the extra mile to make my girlfriend and myself (and our doggie) felt at home and well looked after. Thankyou
