I held my 60th Birthday week celebrations over 6 days at Lunga in August. Not only was this an incredibly special occasion as I was reaching this unbelievably ridiculous age! but also it was the first time we had got together 22 members of our family, spanning 3 generations. Meg and Les couldn’t have been better hosts, from my meeting... More

Lunga House is just beautiful, We went there last weekend for champagne and a birthday meal. The grounds have been kept well, the house lovely old scottish style, the view's spectacular. We had a 3 course meal with family which was good if a little dry but fine all the same. The staff kept interupting throughout the meal asking when... More

We stayed at Coachmans cottage on this very interesting estate. The cottage however was shabby and although the pricing was competitive, it should not have been made available to the public. The kitchen smelled of cats and the bathroom carpet smelled of urine. Wallpaper was peeling and light fittings were just plain dirty. One of the 2 lounge sofas was... More

Wow, what can I say? I stayed here in June for two nights with my fiancee and two younger sisters. We all loved the location and the view, as implied by my title. The house is very convenient if you want to take a day trip loop through the fishing village of Crinan (where I had my first ever cheese-mayonnaise... More

This old estate is a little worse for wear but has a sort of 'lived in' feel about it. We booked the coach house cottage which is next to the large house where there are apartments you can rent also. The apartments have been renovated recently, the cottage has not. As I say though, this leaves you a cheap, if... More

We read about this guesthouse in the Lonely Planet guide and decided to give it a try. It was a busy Saturday night and we were having trouble finding accomodation elsewhere. They gave us a beautiful room called the 'Garden Room'. It was the best room we had all throughout our trip in the UK. We have fond memories of... More

Stayed for 2 nights at a friend's wedding in May. The hotel is located at the end of a VERY long and bumpy dirt road - it certainly tested the hire car's suspension! The hotel is located overlooking a beautiful man-made marina with awesome views over the loch. We were allocated rooms in the Bachelor Flat. Although the room was... More

We used B&B vouchers to stay at this delightful manor house, and it was the most impressive place of our visit. Our room was fairly spacious, on the upper floor, (no lifts, but wide stairs). The only downside was the shower -- it was literally a converted closet, with very little light in it, and 3 wooden walls! However, the... More
