Wonderful place and wonderful hosts What more can you ask? We shall return!
Roineabhal sets the standard that all places offering guest accomodation should aim for. The warmth of the welcome, the wonderful breakfast, the house and rooms furnished in the best of taste. One word of warning - be prepared for the delicious porridge- it comes in portions that would challenge Goldilocks.
We stayed here for five nights in the week before Easter 2011 and had a wonderful, relaxing vacation. The guest house is marketed as a luxury establishment, which is certainly true: we had multi-course breakfasts with the most exquisite food, slept on high thread count sheets, enjoyed home-baked cookies every day in our room, were treated to soaps from a...

We stayed 3 nights: they give us excellent breakfast and good directions to see the surroundings. Scotland gets better if you stay at Roineabhal.
Marea personally came out to greet us, and this was like home from home, we had many questions before arrival for a wedding locally and Marea was most helpful , my wife Sally needed a hairdresser and Marea helped with that and pointed us in the right directions , we made an early exit before breakfast times and Marea was...

My husband and I visited Roineabhal last October and loved our visit. Maria's cooking was outstanding. One meal in particular as as good as we had subsequently at the Three Chimney's on the Isle of Skye. The location and the building reminded us of home: creekside, timber frame etc. Being Canadian and not used to driving on the other side...

Roger and Maria have a great family house in a tucked away corner of Scotland. It is set in idyllic and peaceful grounds. Both Maria and Roger were extremely welcoming and hospitable to us...

Roineabhal is tucked away about 6 miles from the main 'A' road and is excellent for a relaxed trip sightseeing around Argyll.
The rooms were lovely, Maria & roger clearly pride themselves in providing a quality service and this is reflected in the rooms. Spotlessly clean, high quality bedding and acessories, and fantastic bathroom products.
We had booked a meal...

We stumbled on Roineabhal by accident and whow what a find! Set in the most beautiful location we couldn't have asked for a more perfect break from the stress of city life. The house was wonderful, Maria's food was as good as any restaurant and she made us feel at home from the moment we arrived. Roger spent ages with...
