My cousin and I from Australia stayed three nights at Thistle House Guest House, St Catherines. It is a wonderful place to stay, so peaceful with beautiful views, great rooms, delicious breakfasts and so well looked after by Jenifer and Alister. We were able to visit many places of interest in the area, including Inveraray Castle. All good.

Had a really lovely stay here for 2 nights. The weather was not great, but we had a relaxing time sitting by the fire in the beautiful large lounge. The breakfast was fabulous, as were the views and the welcome from Jennifer and Alistair. Professionally run and good value for money.

Lovelly located on the river of the Loch Fyne, close to the beautiful Inverarey town (I do recommend to visit the castle and the Auchindrain museum - the contrast is amazing), the beautiful house offers all what you can need : - beautiful room - nice salon (thanks for the firepace waiting for us by the end of this cloudy... Had a very pleasant night at Thistle House - thank you very much Alastair & Jennifer. The scones and tea on arrival were delicious after our long drive. Just stayed here for 1 night as passing through. House and room were fabulous and gave you complete rest even for one day! Comfy lounge to use with books, dvds and glasses provided if you'd your own liquid!!! TV in room was clear so no snowyness. Enough information provided for the local area to visit and eat. Stayed for 2 nights on our way up the west coast. Beautiful position on the edge of the loch with wonderful views across to Inveraray.
